Sharing the Gospel Through Music
Aaron and Jamie
Meet Aaron & Jamie
Aaron and Jamie Nelson reside just outside Shreveport, Louisiana, where they enjoy a simple life surrounded by their beloved fur babies, a flock of chickens, and the many blessings God has given them.
For several years, Aaron and Jamie have faithfully served as worship leaders at Hope Community Church of God in Shreveport. Music has always been an important part of their lives, and together they have found great joy in singing, worshiping, writing, and making music.
But their ministry was born out of much more than a love for music.
Throughout both of their lives, Aaron and Jamie have experienced disappointment, rejection, heartache, struggles, and seasons when they felt completely alone. There were times when it seemed as though no one else could understand what they were facing.
Looking back, however, they can see something they couldn’t always see in those moments:
God was there the whole time.
Through every struggle, every battle, every addiction, every disappointment, and every season of uncertainty, God never let go of them. There were even things He protected them from that they didn’t recognize until much later.
Now they can look back and see His hand throughout their stories—protecting them, sheltering them, keeping them, and preparing them even when they didn’t realize they needed to be kept.
The words of Psalm 34:4 have become especially meaningful to them:
“I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”
